Sony's PlayStation is the successor edison battery to the PlayStation the world's most popular and as recently as July the world's best selling video game console.
There are several types of battery in use at the present time and each must be treated differently. There are Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cad), Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium-ion. Ni-Cad is old technology and hence only found in ancient handsets, so I will not be covering them in this article. NiMH batteries perform much better than Ni-Cad, typically giving 30% more talk time, but Lithium are thinner and give even higher performance. I will be concentrating on lithium facts-ion as it is the most used modern mobile phone battery to date. Check which type of battery your phone has before following any of the following.
The basic rule of getting a replacement battery is that it should have the same voltage as the original. An 18V drill cannot run on a 12V battery. It can only run on a 18V battery. The other thing is that the physical packaging of a battery can be different from company to company. A 12V Ryobi battery may not fit into a 12V Makita cordless drill unless the battery has the right physical dimensions. So make sure the replacement battery looks the same as the old one before you order it. Also, if you are looking for a replacement battery of the same voltage rating and by the same company, know that battery technology is changing rapidly. An 18V lithium-ion battery has a different physical packaging than a NiCad 18V battery.
Laptop computer uses If you keep the lithium bettery stock battery in your laptop for everyday use and power it from the wall socket unplug the power every few days and let it run off the battery as a battery at capacity lasts longer than one at capacity if you don't travel with it you should remove the laptop battery when on fixed power.
